Steps in Ordering Sledvelopes on-line. Each Sledvelope is $3 has a special Canadian stamp on it that we design each year and have produced by Picture Postage Canada. The Sledvelope can be mailed anywhere in Canada. No additional postage is required. If you want to have the Sledvelope mailed to the US, you have to add $0.45 extra in postage per Sledvelope. If you want to have the Sledvelope mailed Internationally you have to add $1.19 extra in postage per Sledvelope. Since the Sledvelopes have to be "mushed" between Humphrey and Rosseau with the Sled Dog teams, just follow the steps below to make an order.
Step 1: Decide how many Sledvelopes you need (and add the extra postage per Sledvelope if mailed to the US or International) Make your cheque out to Seguin Township memo line: Seguin Mail Run
Sledvelopes: qty ____ X $3.00 = __________ (if mailed in Canada... you do not need to add extra postage
US Postage: qty _____x $0.45 = __________ (if mailed to the US... add the extra postage (includes tax) for each Sledvelope to the US
International Postage: qty _____x $1.19 = __________ (if mailed International... add the extra postage (includes tax) for each Sledvelope mailed International TOTAL: ___________
Mail cheque/Money Order to:
Seguin Sled Dog Mail Run Atten: Kelly Collard PO Box 268 Rosseau, Ontario P0C 1J0
Please enclose a printout of your order with your mailed cheque/money order. Thank you.
Step 2: Provide the complete mailing address for each Sledvelope (including Postal/ZIP codes) - send this information by email. For each Sledvelope, we will need the name and address to where you want to have the Sledvelope mailed. We would prefer this information in an email (i.e. attached to this email), that way we can copy and paste the address information into a MS Word document and print the addresses out on label paper.
Step 3: You can have a personal typed message included in the Sledvelope (please provide your full name as the signature). You can also add a short personal typed message, that can fit on a 3 3/4" (wide) by 2" (high) piece of paper.
Step 4: Email the steps 1, 2 & 3 to Kelly Collard at kcollard88@gmail.com (copy and paste the above into an email.
Step 5: Mail the cheque in time
Note: all the Sledvelope we have will be mushed between Humphrey & Rosseau) so if we don't receive your cheque in time, and it arrives after the 20th of February 2010, the Sledvelopes will still be mailed out (hand cancelled) but after the 22nd of February. You can still claim they were mushed by Sled Dog teams from Humphrey to Rosseau. Once we receive the cheque from you for the total amount, we will let you know by email verification that we have the addresses and message to be included correct.
Step 6: Your family, friends and yourself will enjoy receiving a unique collector's item by Sled Dog team/Canada Post after the 20th of February 2010. The Sledvelopes will be part of the 26th Annual Seguin Sled Dog Mail Run on Feb 20th 2010, mushed by sled dog teams between Humphrey & Rosseau, Ontario (17km), delivered to the Postmaster, Faye Smith in Rosseau. The Rosseau Post Office will then hand cancel each Sledvelope individually and post Sledvelopes throughout Canada, the US and the World.
Step 7: If you are going to be at the event on February 20th, 2010 and want to reserve a Sledvelope(s) to pick up before the Mail Run starts (between 8am and 9am), you can email Kelly Collard at kcollard88@gmail.com - State in the email: 1) Your full name 2) where you are coming from, 3) how many Sledvelopes you will need. Note: we will NOT HOLD them past 9am that morning. The Sledvelopes have to be organized into Postal bags which will be given to each of the Sled Dog teams before they hit the trail.
If you miss the beginning of the Mail Run, you can purchase Sledvelopes in Rosseau once they are delivered by the Sled Dog teams, if they haven't all been sold. Cheers, Kelly
